Ok so I watched Julie and Julia this weekend. It inspired me. I have always wanted to write and I talk 24 / 7 so why not blog. Funny thing is that I really don't care if anyone reads this. My spelling stinks. I am just a real girl trying to live a real life.
Our pastor challenged us to do the Daniel Fast again this year. I wasn't sure I could do it again. After watching the above named movie and lots of prayer I decided to give it a go again this year. Cooking is the hardest and almost claimed my life last year. So the movie inspired me that I can cook. I have 21 days to cook and seek God. I am looking forward to both. I want to be honest. Sometimes people put on like everything is always great. I will give the good the bad and the real life to it.
Daniel Fast Day 1
Conquer oatmeal - oatmeal was very mean to me last year. I tried everything applesauce, real fruit, and all with no luck. It tasted like rubber. I needed to find a way to make it taste less like rubber. After reading that I had cheated last year on drinking apple juice and it could only be used in a meal I had a divine idea, really. I boiled the apple juice and used it in place of water. A little dash of cinnamon and it was awesome. GOAL MADE. I really was surprised. I had pre soaked northern beans and put them in the crock pot and they were a warm and tasty treat when a I came home from church.
In prayer I am starting with my 3 adopted children that turned from God. Don't really want to open up about that yet. Just know that I am relying on the fact that I have trained them in the way they should go.
Day 1 went way better than I thought.
im you're first follower! =) good luck with this!
